The location
Welcome to the hinterland of the Côte d’Azur, Côtes de Provence.
Our house is located at the foot of the medieval town of Les Arcs sur Argens, in the hinterland of Sainte-Maxime and Saint-Tropez. he town of Les Arcs is over a thousand years old and is definitely worth a visit with its picturesque old buildings and market square. It is surrounded by beautiful vineyards and olive groves.
From our house you can reach Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Nice, Fréjus and Sainte-Maxime in less than an hour. About half an hour south you will find a wonderful, family-friendly beach with good parking facilities. If you head north, you’ll find yourself surrounded by lavender fields that bloom from June to August. Blue lakes such as Lac de Saint-Cassien invite you to take a refreshing dip in the hot summer months. The town of Draguignan and pretty villages such as Lorgues, Figanières and Tourtour are also worth a visit. Farmers’ markets are held every day of the week, where you can find fresh fruit, vegetables, honey and other local produce. There is also a wonderful flea market in Les Arcs on Saturdays.
Enjoy the magnificent view of the vineyards of Sainte-Roseline. The famous châteaux of Sainte-Roseline and Berne are only a few minutes away. Most wineries offer wine tastings. The popular bicycle tour through the vineyards ‘Vigne à Vélo’ starts directly in front of our house. The vineyards are open all year round.
